From the paper's preamble, "The authors would like to acknowledge that the original intention of this paper was to articulate the intersection of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and regenerative agriculture. However, the authors made a change in direction after realizing that what is needed is not an attempt to fit Indigenous land stewardship and food systems into a Western framework, but to deepen the understanding of these practices, cultural mores, and knowledge from a California Native perspective."
